Shiv Sena to vow as the CM of Maharashtra at 6.40 pm on Thursday. The ceremony will take place at Mumbai’s Shivaji Park in Dadar. Everyone is geared up for the occasion and the preparations have started.

Uddhav Thackeray will be the first one from the Sena family to take up this significant role of being the CM.

The Sena’s have a deep connection with the Shivaji Park as their journey started with Bal Thackeray 5 decades back. For the most part, the Shiv Sena party conduct their Dusshera rally in this place. Besides, Thackeray has denoted Shivaji Park as “Shivteerth” as Bal Thackeray was cremated there.

The Bombay High court doesn’t seem to encourage such ceremonies on public grounds for security reasons. The park will not be used on Wednesday and Thursday as the preparation has begun. In 2010 there was an NGO that filed a PIL on this ground, ever since this area is named as “silence zone”.

Here are a few invitees for the ceremony, Congress President Sonia Gandhi, West Bengal CM Mamta Banerjee, Delhi CM Kejriwal, and DMK Leader MK Stalin. Besides, there are about 400 farmers and the families of the agriculturists who committed suicide have been invited as well.

There will be well-equipped security of Police officers in their uniform and civil clothes. Besides, there will be CCTV cameras across the place. All the senior police officers including Vinod Chobe, the joint commissioner of police have made security arrangements for tomorrow’s event.

Shivaji Park is an apt place for all athlete’s and sportsmen to practice their game. This place has nets for cricket and a tennis court.
