Heartbreaking news for all Clooney fans! Hollywood's most eligible bachelor is finally taken, confirms E!Online.

The 'Gravity' star is believed to be engaged to the gorgeous lawyer Amal Alamuddin. The engagement comes in less than seven months time since the couple started seeing each other. Now if that wasn't heartbreaking enough, speculations are rife on the couple heading to the altar soon. Sigh!

Although there have been off-and-on reports of the duo dating in the past, speculations over a possible betrothal hit the circles after the British lawyer was spotted flaunting a massive solitaire on her ringer while dining at a Malibu restaurant with supermodel Cindy Crawford and her hubby Rande Gerber. At the middle of the dinner, the couple announced the big news. And the rest is history!

Reportedly, the couple started seeing each other during last October. Following this, they vacationed in the Seychelles together in March and went on safari in Tanzania before returning to the States and continued with their lounge-and-restaurant date nights in New York and Los Angeles.

This would be Clooney's second trip down the aisle. He was previously married to Talia Blasam from 1989-1993. Post divorce, the actor vowed to never marry again. Clooney last dated Stacy Keibler for two years before they amicably called it quits last July.

Alamuddin, who was born in Lebanon and grew up in Great Britain, is already a hit with Clooney's friends and family. She has been spotted wining and dining with Emily Blunt and John Krasinski as well as hanging out with his other homies.
