Hollywood heartthrob George Clooney got married to Amal Alamuddin in front of family and friends on Saturday. And the first pictures of the wedding, which took place at Venice in Italy, is out.

The celebrity couple looked gorgeous on their wedding day. Amal Alamuddin looked stunning in white and George Clooney looked as handsome as ever.

George Clooney's 36-year-old bride wore a custom-made off-shoulder Oscar de la Renta French lace wedding dress, complete with a veil. And 53-year old George wore a tuxedo created by his favourite designer, Giorgio Armani.

The pictures were sold exclusively to HELLO! and People for charity. The magazines revealed a host of secrets related to the wedding that included the wedding outfits, the cake and the exclusive guests who had attended the celebration.

The money from the magazine deals would be given to charities. The lion's share of the money will go to Satellite Sentinel Project, a charity co-founded by Clooney in 2010. The organisation monitors  Sudan for war crimes.
