They say money can't buy you love and happiness, but it can certainly sweeten the deal, as tinseltown's soon-to-be-groom actor George Clooney would affirm.
Taking his relationship with his newfound sweetheart and human rights fiancee Amal Alamuddin to the next level, the couple have decided to get hitched in a lavish Italian wedding this September 12, exactly a year after they first met. And the lovebirds have zeroed down on the most romantic city in the world, the spectacular Venice, to say 'I Do'. Yes, it's official! George and Amal will tie the knot amid a fairytale of canals and breathtaking architecture, we hear.
Venice, however, wasn't the first choice for the couple. The duo had decided on getting married at Clooney's sprawling Lake Como estate earlier, but the plan was canned as they deemed the venue as less private.
Not just that, they even considered getting married at the 3 million pounds Hampshire estate, Highclere Castle. However, the bride-to-be dismissed it after learning that ex-model Katie Price had married first husband Peter Andre there. Apparently, the lawyer doesn't want her wedding to be a media circus. Hence, the hunt for a place that is more private and recluse.
