With a license to wed and cockle full of love, there is nothing stopping George Clooney and fiance Amal Alamuddin from getting hitched. But there is a small hitch!

On Thursday, the couple obtained a certificate of no impediment (CNI) from U.K. authorities, declaring them legally fit to wed!

With everything falling in place, why is Amal unnerved?

Buzz is that the British lawyer is worried about the press finding out her wedding date. Although she hadn't specified the exact wedding date of her upcoming nuptials on her notice of intent to marry that was displayed in public at the registrar's office for 21 days. During this period, anybody could raise an objection to the future bride or groom marrying if either or both were already married, too young or related to their potential spouse.

Those 21 days got over on Wednesday night, and the future spouses were in the clear! The notice was taken off the next day and torn into pieces. So, as per the U.K law, George-Amal are eligible to marry. However, they are yet to complete a few formalities in Italy, the country where they will be getting married.

With preparations on in full swing, the Alamuddin-Clooney nuptials could be happening sooner than you think!
