The Army on Thursday warned that terrorists might plan to execute terror operations ahead of US President Barack Obama's visit to India for Republic Day ceremony.

Terrors are trying to penetrate into Indian main land to create disturbance by attacking on schools, civilian places and other over crowded spots. 

Lt Gen KH Singh, General Officer Commanding (GoC) of Army's 16 Corps, today signaled that there are inputs about terrorists’ plans in India including schools and public areas. Army camps and important highways are also on the radar of terrorists, Lt Gen Singh added.

According to him, Pakistan will do something for diverting the terrorists. Inputs hinted them that nearly 200 militants in 40 camps across the Pir Panjal range are waiting to wage terror in India.

 “Our counter-infiltration posture is firmly in place, infiltration bids will be eliminated if any attempt is made,” Lt Gen Singh said. “The Indian Army remains prepared all the time for any eventuality, for anything that may unfold,” he assured.

According to officer, terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan occupied Kashmir (PoK) remains intact. This is also what Army Chief General Dalbir Singh Suhag has stated, he added.

According to the sources, Intelligence agencies are tracking the movement of two to three Lashkar-e-Toiba suicide bombers who have managed to infiltrate into J&K with the help of the Pakistani Army. LeT planning take large range of count in India.

Army officials said that they are ready to prevent any kind of disturbance entering India via border routes and all the states also informed to put high alert after the Intelligence agencies report.

Home Minister Rajnath Singh assured that maximum security precautions and arrangements are being put in place for President Obama's visit, in view of reports that terrorists’ possible strike ahead of his India tour.
