On Tuesday, India's leading e-commerce platform, Snapdeal, made its announcement about restoring service to 100 percent of the pin codes. These pin codes were not allowing deliveries.
According to what the company said in a Statement, they switched on all the locations for delivery on Tuesday. Only the containment zones were not switched on. These areas would remain inaccessible for any deliveries as per the guidelines issued by State and Central Governments.
They managed to resume only because of having an effective plan in place. Its third-party logistics providers assisted Snapdeal.
This law tech platform provides live trackers giving clear information about trends, micro details and regulations in red, orange, green and containment zone areas.
Snapdeal is the first company to restore pan-India operations and one of the best platforms offering Cash on Delivery option to its customers. This option is available in 26000 pin codes - green, orange and red zones.
Most of the platforms in the country are accepting pre-paid orders.
Given the fact that many customers can’t access digital payment options or don’t find it comfortable, snapdealdecided to allow cash on delivery.
This option of COD is widely used by non-metro users. To stay safe, they are encouraging customers to go for digital payments. However, if the buyers want to pay cash, they are delivering it to them accordingly.
So far, Snapdeal has completed 50 percent of the pre-lockdown orders placed by buyers in March. The backlogs are expected to be cleared this month end.
To ensure safety for the buyer and delivery agent, snapdeal is assisting its partners in planning how to go about delivery of products.
