Cristiano Ronaldo put up an unrestrained fight, scoring a hat-trick and sending Portugal straight into the 2014 World Cup finals.

The Real Madrid superstar came out on top in his personal duel with Sweden superstar Ibrahimovic, with his three brilliant goals in 29 second-half minutes. That proved to be a match-turner, leading Portugal to a 3-2 win for a 4-2 aggregate victory.

Both the goals for Sweden, scored by Ibrahimovic, went in vain as the match featured five goals in 29 minutes of second-half madness.

With this Ronaldo becomes Portugal's all-time leading scorer as took his tally to 50 and three ahead of retired forward Pedro Pauleta.
