The BJP's national office-bearers gathered for a two-day meeting, commencing on Friday, to discuss the party's preparations for the 2024 Lok Sabha elections and plan upcoming programs. Prime Minister Narendra Modi and National President J.P. Nadda were in attendance at this closed-door meeting.

During the extensive meeting, which lasted over five hours, Modi took the opportunity to address party leaders, motivating them to aim for a third consecutive victory in 2024. Nadda chaired the session, where various party wings and state units provided updates on their ongoing organizational activities. Senior leaders offered guidance to these units, keeping a close watch on the approaching elections.

In a post on X, Nadda stated, "Under the guidance of the prime minister, the BJP is making great strides towards building a developed India by empowering the country's youth, women, farmers, and the poor."

There are speculations that the BJP might continue its tradition of announcing some Lok Sabha candidates before the Election Commission officially declares the election schedule, amidst reports of discord in the Opposition camp over seat-sharing. The party has already initiated its candidate selection process and conducted a 'Jan Man' survey through the NaMo app to gather feedback on the performance of the Modi government and the work of representatives in Parliament and their respective constituencies.

There is a growing excitement among party members about the possibility of the central election committee unveiling candidates for 160 parliamentary seats that the BJP has not previously won or secured a second position. Furthermore, there are rumors circulating that the party may announce candidates for seats that are considered strongholds of Opposition parties.

During this time, the leadership will also evaluate the progress of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra and the preparations for the celebration of Atal Bihari Vajpayee's birth anniversary on December 25, which is recognized as 'Good Governance Day' by the government and honors the recipient of the Bharat Ratna. Insiders suggest that Modi emphasized the significance of the Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra's objective, which is to ensure the successful implementation of government schemes.
