On Thursday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi proclaimed that during Operation Sindoor, the Indian military compelled Pakistan to yield, emphasizing that both the global community and adversaries have witnessed the consequences when “sindoor (vermilion) transforms into gunpowder.” He asserted that he now carries the essence of the "hot sindoor" within him. Modi described India's retaliation as a “novel form of justice” and firmly stated that there will be no diplomatic negotiations or exchanges with Pakistan moving forward. He stressed that the recent events have clarified three pivotal points: India will deliver an appropriate response to every act of terrorism; threats of nuclear annihilation will not intimidate India; and the nation will view both state and non-state actors from Pakistan as a collective entity.

While addressing a rally in Bikaner, an area recently targeted by Pakistan, Modi remarked, “This valiant region of Rajasthan demonstrates to us that nothing surpasses the significance of our country and its populace. On April 22, as terrorists inquired about the faith of Pahalgam victims prior to opening fire, they tarnished the sindoor of our women. The shots intended for Pahalgam struck at the hearts of 1.4 billion citizens. In response, the nation rallied together, vowing to annihilate the terrorists and impose a punishment beyond their comprehension.”

“Thanks to your support and the courage of our armed forces, we have fulfilled that commitment today. Our administration empowered all three branches of the military. Together, they devised a strategic encirclement that forced Pakistan to capitulate,” the Prime Minister stated. “Friends, in retaliation for the April 22 attack, we eradicated nine major terrorist hideouts in just 22 minutes. The world and the enemies of our nation recognized the outcome when sindoor turns into gunpowder," he added.

He continued by asserting, “Pakistan can never triumph in a direct confrontation with India. Historically, Pakistan has endured disgraceful defeats whenever faced directly on the battlefield. This is why it resorts to using terrorism as a means of warfare—a tactic it has employed since the time of our Independence.”

“Pakistan has attempted to sow chaos, take innocent lives, and instill dread within India. However, they seem to have overlooked a crucial truth. Now, as the servant of Mother India, Modi stands here with pride. While my mind remains calm, my blood boils with passion. And now, what's coursing through my veins is not merely blood, but the fervor of hot vermilion,” he declared.

He expressed that this is not merely an act of revenge, but rather “a new approach to justice.” “This operation is named Sindoor. It is not just outrage; it embodies the intense spirit of our entire nation, presenting a new face of India.”

Referring to the Balakot airstrike conducted by India in 2019, he stated, “Initially, we launched attacks within their own territory, but now we are striking them directly. This is how we will eliminate terrorism; it is our strategy, our approach. This defines India, this is the new India.”

He explained that Operation Sindoor established three guiding principles for combatting terrorism: “In the event of a terrorist attack on India, a strong response will follow. The timing and method will be determined by our military forces. And the terms will also be dictated by us.”

“Secondly, India will not be intimidated by atomic bomb threats,” he remarked. Thirdly, he stated that India will not differentiate between “the architects of terror and the government that supports them.” “They will be treated as one and the same. Pakistan's tactic of using state and non-state actors will no longer be effective.”

“Today, from this land of Rajasthan, I wish to humbly convey to my fellow countrymen that during the Tiranga Yatra occurring across the nation, I tell my countrymen that those who sought to erase the vermilion have been rendered to dust,” the Prime Minister declared.

“Those who once inflicted suffering on Hindustan have faced repercussions for each drop of blood. Those who believed that India would remain silent are now confined to their homes. The individuals who were once proud of their weapons are now buried beneath debris,” Modi asserted.

He affirmed that India has made it unmistakably clear that Pakistan must face severe consequences for every act of terrorism, and these costs will be borne by the Pakistani military and its economy. The Prime Minister noted that he reached Bikaner through Nal airport, a target of Pakistan, “but they were unable to inflict even minor damage.” “However, on the other side of the border lies Pakistan’s Rahim Yar Khan airbase, the status of which is uncertain. It is in critical condition. The precise strikes by the Indian Army have devastated this airbase,” he stated.

The Prime Minister announced that there will be no negotiations or trade with Pakistan. He stated, “Any discussions that may occur will be solely about Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. If Pakistan keeps sending terrorists across the border, it will face financial consequences. India will not allow Pakistan access to its rightful water resources. Pakistan's actions against the people of India will lead to severe repercussions for them. This is our unwavering commitment as Bharat, and no force on Earth can deter us from this commitment.” He emphasized that both security and economic growth are essential for achieving a developed Bharat.

"This can only be actualized if every region of Bharat is fortified," he remarked. He noted an interesting parallel: five years prior, when India executed airstrikes in Balakot, his first public gathering was also in Rajasthan. He reminisced about a statement he made in Churu in February 2019, declaring, “Saugandh mujhe is mitti ki, main desh nahi mitne dunga, main desh nahi jhukne dunga (I swear on this soil, I won’t let the nation fade or bow down).” He also mentioned that seven delegations of Indian parliament members from various parties are traveling worldwide “to reveal the true nature of Pakistan to the international community.”
