A total number of 31,923 new coronavirus cases are reported in India in the last 24 hours. As per the reports coming from the Union Health Ministry, the total number of people who recovered from coronavirus in the last 24 hours are said to be 31,990. There are 3,01,604 active cases of coronavirus and this is the lowest in the last 187 days. The total number of recoveries that are reported in India till date are 3,28,15,731. With 282 new deaths, the total death tally in the country is said to be 4,46,050. India is racing ahead in the vaccination drive and the total number of vaccines administered in the country are 83,39,90,049 and the vaccines given in the last 24 hours are said to be 71,38,205.

Out of the 31,923 new cases reported, Kerala alone contributed 19,675 new cases in the last 24 hours along with 142 new deaths. The active cases comprise of the 0.90 percent of the total infections in the country and it is the lowest since March this year. The recovery rate continued to be good and it is 97.77 percent. There are 4.29 crore vaccinations available with the states and the union territories which are unused. The new coronavirus cases reported today are 18 percent higher than yesterday. The government of the United States authorized the use of booster dose of Pfizer for those who are aged above 65 years. As per the reports from the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR), the samples that are tested yesterday in India are 15,27,443 and the samples tested in total till date are 55,83,67,013.
