A day after Censor Board chief Leela Samson resigned from the post of CBFC chairperson on Thursday evening over the clearance to Dera Sacha Sauda head, Gurmeet Ram Rahim Singh’s film, ‘MSG- Messenger of God’, unrest erupted in Punjab, Haryana and Delhi. Now another member Ira Bhaskar resigned over the movie chaos only.

Samson has resigned in protest of the clearance for screening by the Film Certification Appellate Tribunal, despite the objections of CBFC. The Censor Board found the film "not suitable for public viewing."

"I have clearly said that I am just human. The acts portrayed in the movie are simply stunts," he said in an apparent rejection of criticism from Sikh groups that he was portraying himself as God and Sikh Guru.

In Gurgaon, police have under taken 60 people, including workers of the Indian National Lok Dal, to prevent clashes between supporters of Ram Rahim.

Meanwhile, supporters of Dera chief arrived in buses in Gurgaon. Reportedly, the organizers came for watching the hour-long screening of MSG preview. All the political parties including the ruling Akali workers also have joined the protests.

While, the minister of state for Communications, Rajyavardhan singh Rathod affirmed that the government had no intervention in the screening issue. Leela Samson’s resignation is her personal, he added.
