Four ISIS terrorists were arrested in Ahmedabad yesterday, days after they received a bomb threat at the city's airport. The terrorists, believed to be Sri Lankan nationals, were arrested after receiving information from the Gujarat Anti-Terrorism Squad. Giving details of the operation to arrest four ISIS terrorists, police said several teams were formed after they received information from authorities that the suspects were planning to travel to Ahmedabad to carry out terror attacks in India commit. Gujarat Police Commissioner Vikash Sahai said the four terrorists boarded an IndiGo flight from Chennai to Ahmedabad yesterday. He said: "This arrest was made after checking the list of passengers who came from the southern region and confirming their identities with the Colombo authorities." Police said they found images of some weapons and location information of Nanachiroda near Ahmedabad after scanning the mobile phones. “The ATS later recovered three Pakistan-made pistols and 20 cartridges from Nanachiloda area as seen in the photographs,” the official said. The weapon was reportedly set up by a Pakistani trainer. Officials said they also communicated with ISIS leaders through Proton Mail, an end-to-end encrypted email service. The suspects are identified as Mohammad Nusrat (33), Mohammad Farish (35), Mohammad Nehran (27) and Mohammad Rushdin (43) as per the officials. They said: "This is evidence of their determination to join ISIS and follow the path set by former ISIS commander Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi." On May 12, security personnel at Ahmedabad airport received a bomb threat, which followed the A search of the airport premises turned out to be a hoax, but nothing suspicious was found.
