Narendra Modi meets Top Business Leaders in Japan

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on his visit to Japan and he met several top business leaders of the country on his first day of his visit. Modi met the CEOs of various top Japanese firms ahead of the Quad Summitt 2022. He met Dr Nobuhiro Endo, the Chairperson of NEC Corporation in Tokyo today. He lauded the role of NEC in the sector of telecommunication in India. He also discussed about the new opportunities in the emerging technologies. Nobuhiro Endo said that it is a good opportunity to discuss with Narendra Modi about how to implement DX and about the contribution to the smart cities. MEA spokesperson Arindam Bagchi took his twitter to reveal other details about the schedule and meetings of Narendra Modi in Japan.

He said "PM @narendramodi interacted with top executives & CEOs from over 30 Japanese companies. Apprised the Japanese business leaders of the recent reforms undertaken by India to improve ease of doing business, and invited them to ‘Make in India for the World’. Lauded the business community as brand ambassadors of the immense potential of India and Japan ties. Proposed celebrating Japan’s contribution to India’s development journey in the form of a ‘Japan Week’". Later Narendra Modi met Tadashi Yanai, Chairman, President and CEO of Uniqlo which is the leading apparel brand in the country. Tadashi Yanai appreciated India. Modi asked Tadashi Yanai to take part in PM-Mitra scheme to strengthen the textile sector.
