All about Black Fungus found in Indian Coronavirus Patients

The new strain of coronavirus found in India is spreading at a fast pace. The scientists and the health experts warn that it is quite dangerous. The new worrying factor is that the Indians who recovered from coronavirus have spotted black fungus or mucormycosis. All the patients who were administered with steroids during their coronavirus treatment as per the words from the doctors. Top new agency Reuters reported that the warnings came viral after May 12th report. Some of the reports said that the people in Gujarat are going to cow shelters once every week to cover their bodies with cow dung and urine. They believe that this would boost the immunity and help them recover from coronavirus.

Several Indian states including Gujarat reported the cases of mucormycosis. Such cases are observed in Delhi, Maharashtra, Odisha and Haryana. Some of the USA based scientists say that the use of cow dung is leading to the fungal disease of mucormycosis in India. The information was shared on Centers for Disease Control (CDC). All the people who recovered from coronavirus in India are in lookout for symptoms of mucormycosis like headache, stuffy nose, black lesions and loss of vision. Some of the doctors say that all the coronavirus patients who recovered and are diabetic who took steroids should stay against the cow dung.

The Indian Council of Medical Research and the Health Ministry of India issued an advisory about the management of mucormycosis, which happens to be a rare fungal infection. The number of such cases saw a rise in the country which is leaving the people panic for now.
