Allahabad University to conduct final year exams online

Allahabad University is all set to conduct final year exams online and will promote remaining students based on past performances.

Allahabad University has decided to hold only the final year exams and the final semester exams. Other students will be directly promoted to next semester.

The academic council of the University has constituted a meeting on Monday and decided to conduct the final year exams through online mode.

Allahabad University has already conducted the graduation exams for 9 days which could not be completed due to the nationwide lockdown followed by the COVID-19 pandemic. The pending exams will also be conducted through online mode now.

Students who would appear for online exams will have to download the question paper from the official site of the University.

Process of conducting the online exams

The duration of the exam would be four hours, two hours for writing the exam, and two hours to scan the copy and upload it.

Once the writing part is completed, students will have to scan the copy and upload it to the official site allduniv.ac.in.

Marks allotting process

According to the Controller of Examinations, students who will be promoted will be given the marks sheet on the basis of the exams they have already appeared for.

The University will calculate the marks obtained in the exams and the mark sheet would be given out on the basis of the average marks.

Allahabad University would release the exam schedule today. According to the media reports, the final year and the final semester exams are proposed to be conducted from the second week of September and would end on September 19, 2020.

The time table has been released for BA, BSc, Bcom, and other undergraduate level programs of the official site.

Meanwhile, JEE exams have embarked on September 1 and shockingly more than 40 percent of the student chose to not write the exams in the fear of COVID-19 pandemic.
