Japanese Tourist Dies After Fall At Taj MahalHot Buzz

According to a BBC report, a Japanese tourist died after allegedly slipping down the stairs at India's Taj Mahal monument, while taking a selfie at the Royal Gate. It was report that an eyewitness named Sagar Singh told BBC Hindi about the accident.

The tourist lost consciousness soon after the fall, succumbing to head injuring in hospital, police said. Sushant Gaur, Agra tourist police officer, told BBC Hindi that the Japan tourist was with three others at the time of incident. After the tourist fell along with his colleague from the staircase, the other one fractured his leg. The death has been informed to Japanese embassy. Meanwhile the incident is being investigated.

The 17th Century mausoleum built by Shah Jahan, Mughal emperor, after his wife's death, attracts nearly 12,000 visitors a day.

Deaths linked to selfies

In recent years, many deaths were related to selfies. A campaign was launched recently by the Russian government to bring consciousness in youth and to think before posing for one in a risky situation.

In May, a 21-yeari old lady in Moscow survived an accident while shooting herself in a pose with gun for selfie. In August, a man lost life by a bull while posing for a selfie at the annual bull running festival in the town of Villaseca de la Sagra.
