Director Joss Whedon has deactivated his Twitter account following severe criticism over the depiction of Scarlett Johansson's Black Widow as a typical 'damsel in distress' in several scenes of "Avengers: Age of Ultron".
His deactivation reportedly occurred after strong warnings from fans, the threats included death warnings as some abusive fans urged him to "die" or "commit suicide, and some others responded ugly over plot points they did not like in Age of Ultron.
According to media reports some viewers did not like Black Widow's tentative relationship with The Hulk's Bruce Banner and another scene in which she was briefly captured by Ultron.
