Come February 28, 2014, cinema-goers will be in for a delish screen treat as two of B-town's supremely talented actress take on each other at the box-office.

Versatile Vidya Balan will battle it out with B-town's new-crowned bad girl Kangana Ranaut as both their films “Shaadi Ke Side Effects” and “Queen” release on the same day, next year.

Previously, Vidya's “Shaadi Ke Side Effects” was slated for release on February 14, 2014 alongside Imtiaz Ali’s “Highway”, Akshay Kumar’s “Its Entertainment” and Ameesha Patel’s “Desi Magic”. However, seems there is a change in plan now.

Says a source, “Shaadi Ke Side Effects was shifted to another date to avoid having a clash with other releases. After a discussion, we all thought that February 28 is a suitable date as it is going with the flavour of the month. It is tough to get the perfect release date for the film and if you end up releasing it with many films then all suffer. Although now it may release with Kangna Ranaut’s Queen, it is fine as the subject of both the films is quite different, so the audience will have a good choice.”

Kangna, on her part, confirms her film’s release date. “Yes, Queen is set to release on February 28. At least that is what I was informed last week. I am not sure about the other releases on the same date though.”

“Shaadi Ke Side Effects” producer Ekta Kapoor and “Queen” director Vikas Bahl were not available for comment.
