Cop Crushed to Death By Sand Mafia

There was another shocking incident, a police head constable was crushed to death by the sand mafia in Karnataka when he tried to stop the vehicle, suspecting the tractor have illegal sand on it. A 51-year-old Mayura from Nelogi police station when tried to stop the truck, which is transporting illegally mined sand, truck driver rammed the track on the constable near Narayanapur Village of Jevargi Taluk, Kalaburagi district, Karnataka.

Police are investigating the case and Mayura was spotted dead at the site as he was completely crushed beneath the tractor tyre. Driver Siddanna has confessed the crime to police, that he rammed him because he is trying to stop illegal mining and transportation of the sand. Mayura was in his patrol and stopped the tractor suspecting illegal mining. Karnataka state minister Priyank Kharge has instructed the police department to take legal action immediately against illegal sand mining. She wrote on Twitter, “I have once again given strict orders to the police department to immediately take legal action against illegal sand mining. An investigation has been ordered into the incident.”

The sand stock on the vehicle, some part of it belongs to PWD and the remaining part belongs to a private person.
