Narendra Modi to Expand his Cabinet

The Union Cabinet is all set for expansion before the Parliament sessions that will start this year. The decision has been made after a series of meetings that were held recently. The Parliament sessions are expected to take place from January 29th which also includes the budget sessions. Narendra Modi and his team decided to expand the cabinet before the sessions. There are reports that one from AP and one from Telangana may be inducted into the cabinet. After retaining the power in the 2019 elections, the cabinet expansion was done twice. There are 31 ministers including the Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

There are 45 supporting ministers which took the total to 78 including two independent ministers. The Union Cabinet can be expanded upto 83 ministers. The states of Rajasthan, Chattisgarh, Karnataka and Madhya Pradesh would head for elections soon. Shivraj Singh Chauhan, the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh may get promoted to Union minister berth soon. There are four MPs from Telangana and Kishan Reddy is the Cabinet Minister from Telangana for BJP. Bandi Sanjay and D Aravind are in the race. There was no minister representing Andhra Pradesh from a long time. CM Ramesh and GVL Narasimha Rao are working as Rajya Sabha MPs and one among them will be inducted into the Union Cabinet as per the update.
