Congress leader Rahul Gandhi appeared before the investigation agency Enforcement Directorate after he was summoned in money laundering case related to National Herald newspaper. Rahul Gandhi was asked to appear before ED on June 5th but he was abroad and he sought more time. Rahul Gandhi appeared before ED after he marched to the office along with this supporters through a protest. Several Congress leaders sat on Dharna near the office of the Central Agency. Senior Congress leaders including P Chidambaram, Digvijaya Singh, Ashok Gehlot, Bhupesh Baghel were present. Rahul Gandhi took a break in the afternoon and he appeared before the agency for the second round in the afternoon.
Congress President Sonia Gandhi has been admitted to Sir Ganga Ram Hospital after she was tested positive for coronavirus. She is undergoing treatment in the hospital and Rahul Gandhi, Priyanka Gandhi visited her today. In Mumbai, the cops detained more than 250 workers who started a protest from Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus to ED office. Several Congress leaders were detained in Delhi and Priyanka Gandhi visited them in Tughlaq Road police station. Congress and BJP leaders exchanged words after the investigation started. Sonia Gandhi too has been asked to appear before the agency for investigation but she is admitted to the hospital after she is tested for coronavirus. Her investigation is delayed.
