Reliance Industries Ltd’s (RIL) chairman Mukesh Ambani is no longer on the top 10 for the richest billionaires in the world. According to the Bloomberg Billionaire Index, Mukesh Ambani’s current net worth is $76.5 billion which is translated to 5.63 lakh crore rupees. He lost 6.8$ billion dollars after Reliance Shares fell on a weak quarterly basis. From 79 billion dollars, his net worth dropped to 76 billion dollars on Monday.
His position dropped from being the third richest in the world to being the 11th richest. Despite his drop he is still one of the top 20 richest men in the world.
The top five people in the list , in order are Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, Bill Gates with Bernard Arnault and Mark Zuckerberg .
RIL shares witnessed extreme volatility. This has caused the massive drop in shares.
Mukesh Ambani’s Reliance Industries has completed the sale of about 10 per cent stake in its retail unit. Besides oil-to-telecom. Conglomerate it owns the crore company Jio Platforms, the group’s telecom and digital services company, from big-tech company investors such as Facebook, Google, Intel etc. Mukesh Ambani had a recent webinar with Mar Zuckerberg discussing the JIo- Facebook partnership.
