Sundar Pichai, the CEO of Google expresses disappointment over the ban on work visas:

Sundar Pichai on twitter expressed his disappointment on the proclamation issued by Trump over the ban of work visas till the end of the year.

Sundar Pichai is an Indian born CEO of Alphabet and also its subsidiary Google. He joined Goggle in 2004 as a management executive and now after 16 years is the Chief Executive Officer of Google and also its parent company Alphabet.

On one asocial media platform which is usually known for its micro blogging, Sundar Pichai expressed his disappointment on the issued proclamation and says that being an immigrant himself he will continue to stand for immigrants and expand work opportunities to all. He said “Immigration has contributed immensely to America’s economic success, making it a global leader in tech, and also Google the company it is today. Disappointed by today’s proclamation - we’ll continue to stand with immigrants and work to expand opportunity for all.”

Sundar Pichai was also the first generation immigrantwho went to the states to do his master’s. The 48 year was in a small town of Tamil Nadu in India. He completed his higher education in India at Indian Institute of Technology with a degree of metallurgical engineering and then went to the states for his masters. He holds an MBA from Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and MS from Stanford University.

Sundar Pichai joined Google in 2004 as the lead of productmanagement and innovation efforts for Google’s software clients. After his developments on video formats and Chrome OS he was selected as the CEO of Google in 2015. After the CEO of Google, shortly after he was also appointed the CEO of Alphabet Inc. which is the holding company of Google.

There are several Indian Americans who lead several US headquartered technology companies as their chief executive officers. Microsoft is led by Hyderabad born, Satya Nadella, Adobe is led by Shantanu Narayan and Google is led by Sundar Pichai. These are just a few of them. There are many other technology bases US companies which are led by Indian including Master Card which is led by Ajay Banga and Dinesh Apliwal is the president and CEO of Harman International Industries.
