A 30 year old Frenchman has died in Navi Mumbai after he fell off from the ninth floor of his flat in Seawoods on Sunday.
The victim has been identified as a French national named Charley Tastet of 30 years old and a marketing professional who has been said living with his wife Tanya Thakur at The Residence Greenscape.
Charley Tastet has been identified as a sales manager who would work for Viscon S A which is a Spanish company which supplies casings of the meat products.
An accidental death report has been filed as the body of the victim was found in the morning. However, sources say that Section 46-A might be called for members of the society to probe negligence as the police has observed that there is no safety grille to the duct and it is the same across all the flats.
The police is suspecting that the victim might have experienced a fall when he had gone to use the bathroom as the duct through which he had slipped is present adjacent to the bathroom.
It has been noted that the couple had celebrated their wedding anniversary on the 20th of February, Thursday which was followed by the celebration of the victim Charley Tastet’s birthday the next day. The police has stated that the couple had left to meet the mother of Thakur who resides in Navi Mumbai on Saturday and that they had returned to their place Seawoods apartment on the same but they were accompanied by a fried who is also identified as a French national who had stayed at the Seawoods apartment as he had to catch a flight the next day.
Tanveer Shaikh who is the senior inspector of the NRI police station has said that, when the wife of the victim has woke up to an alarm that she had set the previous night and was worried as she did not find her husband in the room. She had gone in search of her husband but as got no clue, she had woke up their friend and had found the body later in the duct area.
The victim had been rushed to a nearby hospital where they had declared that Charley Tastet was brought dead.
