Top Diplomat Alice G Wells to Visit India for Strategic Meet

Alice G Wells, the point person for South and Central Asia under the Trump administration is said to visit India. The officials said that Alice G Wells will be visiting India for a series of bilateral meetings and the Raisina Dialogue in Delhi, next week.

Alice G Wells is said to be in Colombo which is a capital of Sri Lanka from January 13-14.

Later on, the principal deputy assistant secretary of state for South and Central Asian Affairs, Alice G Wells will be traveling to India from January 15-18 in order to attend the Raisina Dialogue. It also added saying that she will be in Islamabad from January 19-22.

The department said that, wells will be meeting senior government officials in order to advance the US-India strategic global partnership after the 2+2 Ministerial Dialogue being a success, last month. It said that the topics regarding mutual interest will be discussed with the members of the business community and civil society.

Wells will be flying next to Islamabad from New Delhi and her trip is scheduled to be from January 19-22 where in she will be meeting senior Pakistan government officials and members of civil society and will be discussing about a range of bilateral and regional issues which includes shared interests in a free and open Indo-Pacific region which encourages prosperity, democracy, justice, and human rights, said the department.
