Manoj Bajpayee Receives Best Actor Award in New York Film Festival for Gali Guleiyan

Dipesh Jain’s, Hindi psychological thriller, Gali Guleiyan (In the Shadows) has received Best Actor Award for Manoj Bajpayee’s stellar performance at the recently concluded New York Film Festival.
The thriller recalls Coppola’s, The Conversation, that explores the roots of paranoia in a loner intent on spying his neighbors.
The film’s director, Dipesh Jain said, “We are elated to hear about Manoj sir’s award at the NY Indian Film Festival. It is an acknowledgement of his stellar performance in the film. We consider ourselves very blessed to have worked with an actor like him who embraces his character so seamlessly and makes it his won. Heartiest congratulations to him once again.”
The film has been nominated in more that 15 top international film festivals including audience accolades and awards. The recent screening has been at prestigious 42nd Cleveland International Film Festival of Los Angeles, Atlanta Film Festival and New York Indian Film Festival.
The post production of the film took place in Los Angeles, New York and San Francisco.
The actor, Manoj Bajpayee, took to Twitter saying, “Gali Guleiyan gets an honour at @nyindianff, congratulations to the team of @GaliGuleiyan and the captain @dipeshjainfilm.”
Irrespective of cast, the film also has some of the best technicians who have won Oscar, Emmy and Grammy winning/nominated and have worked on the film that has completed top Hollywood facilities like Fox Studios, Light Iron and Skywalker Sound.
The main protagonist in the film is played by Manoj Bajpayee with supporting actors - Ranvir Shorey, Neeraj Kabi, Shahana Goswami and a debut child actor, Om Singh. The film is directed by Los Angeles-based movie maker, Dipesh Jain.
Directed by debutant Dipesh Jain, produced by Shuchi jain of Exsant Motion pictures, Gali Guleiyan will be releasing in India and Worldwide this year.
