A non-profit organization based in Austin, The Miracle Foundation, TX and New Delhi, has announced its partnership with the first-ever Global Citizen Festival in India, to raise awareness and funds for orphans across India.

The event had mirrorred the annual Global Citizen Festival which was held in New York’s Central Park, where free tickets are earned by performing various social tasks.

The Miracle Foundation has served as an official non-profit partner of Global Citizen India, a movement and a community of like-minded individuals, who have been working collectively towards global change, for the next 15 years.

Renowned musical performances by the British rock band Coldplay and American performers Demi Lovato and Jay Z also performed for the first time in India, at the Global Citizen Festival on Saturday, November 19, 2016, in Mumbai.

They performed alongside a host of Bollywood celebrities and artists, including: Aamir Khan, AR Rahman, Amitabh Bachchan,Arjun Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Katrina Kaif, Malaika Arora-Khan, Kareena Kapoor-Khan, Ranveer Singh, Shah Rukh Khan, Shraddha Kapoor, Sachin Tendulkar, Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy and Vijender Singh.

UNICEFsaid that, there are 153 million orphans in the world, of whom  20%  live in India.

Miracle Foundation is a nonprofit organization that brings life changing care to parentless children across India.

The foundation has currently been supporting 25 children’s homes, supporting thousands of children across India from the hinterlands of Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana, and Madhya Pradesh to the far-flung areas of Tripura.

Global Citizen India will promote Miracle Foundation, in an effort to improve the lives of children without parents, enabling the organization to raise funds for education and scholarships through the Global Citizen India Festival .

The organizers of Global Citizen India and Miracle Foundation will work with Ketto, to take further this initiative, an online crowd-funding platform, to raise funds for children without parents.
