Micromax just released the debut range of its Windows Phone 8.1 devices in an event in New Delhi, marking its entry into Smartphone world with Microsoft’s mobile OS.
Micromax was one of the partners announced by Microsoft on stage at BUILD this year, when introducing Windows Phone 8.1. After an eager wait, Micromax has launched its two new phones.
The Canvas Win W121 and Canvas Win W092, produced by Micromax in association with Microsoft and Qualcomm, is likely to hit the stores sometime next month. The Win W092 has been priced at Rs 6,500, while the Win W121 is priced at Rs 9,500.
Both powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 200, which is a low-end Cortex-A7 1.2 GHz quad core processor, both the phones will come with 1 GB of RAM, along with Dual-SIM support.
The higher-end W121 will have a 5-inch HD display, while the W092 will have a 4-inch IPS WVGA display.
The W121 gets an 8-megapixel unit camera on the back, along with a 2-megapixel front camera. It will come with 8GB of internal memory with 32GB expandable memory
Additionally, the Canvas Win W121 has proximity, gravity, and light sensors, an accelerometer, and will come with a leather finish back panel.
The W092, on the other hand, will have a 5 megapixel rear camera (with LED flash), a 0.3 megapixel front-facing camera, and also has 8GB of internal storage with up to 32GB of expandable memory.
