Union home minister Rajnath Singh has urged all political parties to present a united front to the world against terrorism. The minister said that the term coined by UPA, 'Hindu terror', has weakened India’s stand on terrorism.

Giving a statement on the July 27 Gurdaspur terrorist attack, Rajnath Singh said, "Terrorism is terrorism, it has no religion, no caste.”

Rajnath listed out issues underlining Congress' alleged failures, which included Sharm-el Sheikh fiasco and statements at Havana NAM Summit besides the 1962 war with China.

Congress members heard, Rajnath Singh's statement on the Gurdaspur attack with utmost attention. However, they stormed to the well after the completion of the statement, creating a scene of protests as seen from day one of the monsoon session.

Being prompted by this, Singh started to attack the Congress, "Terrorism is the biggest challenge facing the country. Neither Parliament nor the country should appear divided on this... On the one hand, our jawans making the supreme sacrifice while fighting against terror, on the other we have this noise and disruption. How can the country accept this.”
