
The Union Public Service Commission has declared Civil Services Examination Results 2014 on Saturday. Girls performed better than boys, with four out of top five are girls. A total of 1236 aspirants has successfully cleared the examination for the selection of Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS) and Indian Police Service (IPS). Ira Singhal has emerged as the topper, while Renu Raj secured second, followed by Nidhi Gupta and Vandana Rao. The fifth position was secured by Suharsha Bhagat.
Ira and Nidhi, who hails from Delhi, are Indian Revenue Service (Customs and Central Excise) officers, whereas, Renu is a doctor by profession and hails from Kerala.
"I am really very happy. I can't believe this. I just prepared for the examination," Ira told. "I want to be an IAS officer. I want to do something for the benefit of physically-handicapped people," she said.
"I am extremely happy to know the result. I have been preparing for the exam for the last one year," second rank holder Renu told.
Third rank holder Nidhi "It is really a proud moment. I put in lot of hard work and finally it paid."
