Do you want to meet real life Rapunzel? You are in luck as there is not one but a Rapunzel family. The mother and her three daughters have a combined hair length of more than 4metres.

Tere Lynn Svetlecich Russell, 43, has loved her hair and has always grown her tresses. She has three daughters Callan, Cendalyn and Chapin, who also have long hair. Tere has always encouraged her daughters to grow their hair like hers.

Being real-life Rapunzels is no cheap hobby. Except the youngest one, everytime any of the girls wash their hair, they use about a quarter of a bottle of conditioner.

Tere has a difficult time washing her really long hair. It's so heavy when wet that she faces the danger of toppling over in shower. So she always kneels in the shower.

Till recently, the Rapunzel girls had never visited a hair salon. However, Tere told her daughters that they are free to cut their hair if they want.

And what might be their favourite family film? Tangled, of course.

The three girls always compete in the longest pony tail competition held annually at Illinois State Fair.

But their long locks often become a problem when their hair gets stood on by someone, gets stuck in car doors or even gets sucked up by the vacuum cleaners.

Any guess why Rapunzel lived ‘happily ever after’ even after her locks were cut short.
