Disney is all set to roll a remake of its 1967 movie "The Jungle Book". And guess who are the stars being contemplated to feature in the remake? Well, it's none other than the Oscar-winner Lupita Nyong'o and soon-mum-to-be Scarlett Johansson.

Final negotiations are on for both the actors. While Lupita is being considered to do the voiceover for mother wolf Rakcha, who adopt feral child Mowgli and rises him, Scarlett will play Kaa – the python, who hypnotizes her prey before devouring it.

Golden Globe-winner Idris Elba has been roped in to play Mowgli's arch nemesis, Sher Khan. Hunt is on for the characters of Mowgli and Balloo.

The remake is being dubbed as a live-action/CGI hybrid. It will be helmed by Jon Favreau and scripted by Justin Marks, based on the original story of “The Jungle Book” by author Rudyard Kipling. The movie is likely to release on October 9, 2015.
