During these modern days, many foods await to lure your taste buds like chocolate, potato chips, bacon double cheeseburgers and so on. Thus, there are enough reasons for people to gobble on food without hunger. Especially, people belonging to the contemporary societies often eat because of the taste of food and not due to hunger. The tasty food keeps beckoning all through the day.
Meanwhile, a recent study found that the tendency of eating when people are not hungry might actually be less advantageous for health, compared to eating while feeling hungry. The study involves 45 undergraduate students. The results indicated that people with moderate hunger before meals showed the tendency of lower levels of glucose after the consumption of the meals compared to those who were not hungry before meals.
Thus, the findings published in the journal 'Association for Consumer Research’ suggest that it possibly is healthier for individuals to consume food when they feel moderate hunger, compared to when they are not hungry.
