We picked watermelon as it's summer. And what better to run an experiment on one of the summer bounties. So what are you waiting for. Get your margarita glasses, rim them with salt and get making this hot and sweet jalapeno watermelon margarita at home. Enjoy!
Jalapeno Watermelon Margarita Ingredients:
6 oz silver tequila
1 fresh jalapeño, sliced
For the margarita:
1 cup homemade margarita mix
2 generous cups chilled watermelon cubes (seeds removed if not seedless)
4 oz orange liqueur (or orange juice)
6 oz jalapeño tequila
Salt, for rimming
Jalapeno Watermelon Margarita Recipe:
In a jar, take the tequila and jalapeño slices and refrigerate for at least one hour.
Blitz the watermelon cubes in a blender until smooth. Sieve the puree through a strainer and keep the juice aside.
In a small pitcher, combinee watermelon juice with the homemade margarita mix and orange liqueur.
Pour the tequila and jalapeño slices and stir well.
Salt-rim the margarita glasses, fill with ice and serve. Don't forget to top with tequila-soaked slice of jalapeño.
