On days,you want your sink your teeth into something devilishly delicious and decadent, try making this apple dessert. A fruity twist to the eternal favorite kheer, this Indian dessert, topped with apples, nuts and grapes, is one delightful way to bring both health and taste to the table. Ingredients
2 apples
1 cup milk
1 pinch of saffron
1/2 cup boiled Basmati rice
50 gm sugar
60 gm cashew nuts and almonds
1 stick cinnamon
Handful of red grapes
Instructions
Cut apples in cubes and dunk them in saffron infused milk for 15 minutes
Now cook them over the gas until soft.
Add 4 tsp of sugar, cinnamon stick and some cashew nuts and almonds and bring it to a slow boil.
Add half cup of boiled rice and green cardamoms and simmer the fire and cook till your kheer has achieved the desired consistency.
Top it with slices of red grapes and serve.
