In the wake of Pulwama terror attack, a horde, including celebrities in the Indian film industry, showed their indignation. However, people are criticizing those who have a more neutral or pacifist stand on paying back.
Recently, Member of Parliament and ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’ judge Navjot Singh Sidhu was slammed on social media for saying that we should not blame an entire country (Pakistan) for the acts of a few. He was subsequently fired from the show.
Now Mallika Dua is facing some intense criticism from some right-wing supporters for her latest Instagram video (that she later deleted) over the attack.
In the video, Mallika is heard saying about how she has been hearing about the whole outrage thing that people are having over the terror attack. She claims that people are asking each other how they could lead lives normally when soldiers are getting killed. And then comes the controversial part.
Mallika at that point states that there are so many people dying of hunger and depression, which hasn't stopped us from leading our lives normally. So what's new about this situation, she asks.
Mallika Dua ( yes, yes, defender & daughter of alleged molester Vinod Dua ) says so many people die daily due to hunger, depression etc etc.— Suresh Nakhua(@SureshNakhua) February 18, 2019

Reactions for Her Video
Good grief. malika dua this is worse than being tone deaf. You really can't distinguish between an act of war and hunger and malnutrition? https://t.co/AJ0e8BEdLy— barkha dutt (@BDUTT) February 19, 2019
Am more than ashamed to hear this, when @MallikaDua can't distinguish between our brave soldiers fighting for our country, giving their lives and people dying of hunger. Like seriously? https://t.co/NT7TMzoKjY— Sumit Kumar (@heyusumit) February 19, 2019
This is disgusting. Miss Dua has a messed up perspective here. Then you should not protest against @BDUTT 's n other women's harassment too. By ur logic rapes harassments murders eve teasing happen everyday yaar, why so much hullabaloo over famous women's harassment? https://t.co/95eR1OAIM5— blank. ha! (@SummerDupahriya) February 19, 2019
@MallikaDua though question is genuine but the way you raised it is just disgusting. how can you compare two entirely different issues it just shows how ignorant you are. Shame on you https://t.co/qDZQSMFab1— Ratan Deep Yadav (@Deep_Yadaw) February 19, 2019
Mallika Dua, who is a popular comedian and actress, is not new to controversies. She had on one occasion alleged that Akshay Kumar had misbehaved with her during a reality show.
