Director Indra Kumar's adult comedy "Grand Masti" has swung past the Rs. 100 crore mark, becoming the first film of its genre to attain the status.

Tweeting on its grand success, trade analyst Taran Adarsh said, "And it's a century... 'Grand Masti' crosses Rs.100 crore net mark in India. First 'Adults' film to attain this status."

Aftab Shivadasani, one of the male leads in "Grand Masti", took to Twitter too to share his excitement at the film’s success at the ticket window.

He tweeted: "And history is made - the first adult film to make Rs.100 crores! Feeling elated to be a part of history! Thank you all."

Also starring Riteish Deshmukh and Vivek Oberoi as the male leads, the sequel to 2004 blockbuster "Masti", was released on September 13. Co-produced by Ashok Thakeria and Indra Kumar, the minted Rs.66.4 crore in the opening week and galloped to the prestigious Rs.100 crore club in its third week.
