Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal was nearly questioned for 9.5 hours on Sunday by CBI related to Delhi liquor policy. Arvind Kejriwal arrived at the agency headquarters at around 11 am and was taken to the first floor of the Anti Corruption Branch by the investigative team.

After leaving the CBI office, Kejriwal addressed the media. The chief minister said he was asked about 56 questions as part of the interrogation and had answered all of them. Kejriwal also said that they die for honesty and the alleged liquor policy is a false allegation made on them by BJP, motivated by dirty politics. Kejriwal’s statement has been recorded under section 161 CrPC.Delhi government has called a special assembly session for one day amid the liquor policy row happening. Kejriwal’s ex-deputy Manish Sisodia was arrested on the same case last month, who was then handling the excise portfolio.

AAP held an emergency meeting over the summons given to Chief Minister and AAP Chief Arvind Kejriwal. Punjab AAP minister Cheema said that their state getting benefitted financially after following the same blueprint. Cheema also said questing Kejriwal only because BJP is targeting the AAP leader as it is scared of the popularity he is gaining.
