The upcoming Quad meeting, which includes India, the US, Australia, and Japan, is happening at a crucial time amid escalating conflicts in the Middle East and Eastern Europe. Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit the US, meeting with President Joe Biden in Wilmington, Delaware. They are expected to discuss the relationship between the two countries, as well as Modi's recent trips to Russia and Ukraine and potential peace efforts. An announcement may be made about India-US space collaboration, with an Indian Air Force officer participating in a mission to the International Space Station. The leaders may also discuss a multibillion-dollar deal for India to acquire 31 Predator drones from the US, though it's unclear if this will be announced during the visit. After the bilateral meeting, Modi will attend the Quad summit with Biden, Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese, and Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida, where China is expected to be a major topic of discussion.

The Prime Minister will address concerns about aggressive actions by China in the region, including unfair trade practices and tensions over the Taiwan Strait. During his visit, he will interact with the Indian community in New York and meet with CEOs to discuss collaboration in advanced technologies like artificial intelligence, quantum computing, biotechnology, and semiconductors. On the third day, he will speak at the 'Summit of the Future' at the United Nations General Assembly, which aims to find multilateral solutions for a better tomorrow. The Prime Minister may also hold bilateral talks with other world leaders during the UN summit.

The prime minister expressed his eagerness to attend the Quad Summit, where he will join President Biden, Prime Minister Albanese, and Prime Minister Kishida. The Quad has become a crucial group of nations with similar values, working towards stability, progress, and prosperity in the Indo-Pacific area. However, the foreign ministry has not yet confirmed if the meeting will occur. The Prime Minister stated that his meeting with President Biden would enable the two leaders to identify new ways to deepen the partnership between India and the United States. Emphasizing the importance of the UN summit, he said it presents an opportunity for the global community to plan the way forward for the betterment of humanity. He will convey the perspective of one-sixth of the world's population, as their stake in a peaceful and secure future is among the highest globally. The Prime Minister also expressed his eagerness to engage with the Indian community in the US, as well as prominent American business leaders, who are crucial stakeholders and contribute to the dynamic partnership between the world's largest and oldest democracies.
