The 2024 Lok Sabha elections will conclude with the final phase of voting and the start of the seventh phase on June 1. Once the final votes are cast on June 1, polls from various institutions will begin releasing numbers predicting the likely winner and the difference between them. However, the official results will be announced by the Election Commission of India (ECI) on June 4. This forecast is based on voter feedback collected from polls after polls close. The idea behind election polls is to reflect the public's mood before the actual results are announced. However, their accuracy has been heavily criticized in the past. The ECI prohibits election polls during the voting process but allows them to be published 30 minutes after the last vote. According to the regulations, the results of the exit polls cannot be published before 6:30 p.m. on June 1, the last round of voting. This is set out in Section 126A of the Representation of the People Act 1951. “No person shall conduct, publish or publish an electoral poll using written or electronic media and otherwise disseminate the results of the electoral poll.” In this regard, the Election Commission stated: Vote within the announced period. This is stated in Section 126A of the RP Act, 1951. Particle for direct object.

However, many TV channels start broadcasting polls before the final phase of the election is over, perhaps out of curiosity as to which party is likely to win. According to the law, whoever violates the provisions of Article 126A shall be punished with imprisonment for a period of two years or with a fine or with both. To gain power in the center, a party or coalition must win at least 272 of the 543 seats in parliament. In the 2024 elections, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA)-led Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is aiming for a record third victory under Narendra Modi as prime minister. The ruling coalition was challenged by the Congress-led opposition India Bloc. Voting for 486 of the 543 Lok Sabha seats ended after the sixth phase on May 25. Voters in 57 Lok Sabha constituencies across eight states and Union Territories will exercise their franchise in the seventh and final phase of voting on Saturday when polls end. Voting activities lasted approximately 44 days. The results of the 2024 Lok Sabha elections will be announced on June 4. Particle for direct object

In the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, pollsters predicted that the NDA would win 285 seats. However, the BJP-led alliance managed to win 353 seats and 303 seats. The Congress won 52 seats and the UPA 91 seats. The NDA was estimated to have won around 257–340 seats in the 2014 parliamentary elections. However, the NFÜ won 336 mandates. According to experts, the accuracy of voting has improved over the years. “Since polling began in 1957, there has been tremendous progress in at least one respect: sample size. "Gone are the days when a national sample of 20,000 to 30,000 people was considered large," writes Sanjay Kumar of the Center for the Study of Developing Societies (CSDS), a social sciences and humanities research institute in New Delhi. The television broadcaster Doordarshan commissioned CSTS in 1996 to conduct surveys across the country. And many actors have entered the game, most of them are associated with TV channels.
