Chandrababu Naidu Sent For 14 Day Judicial Remand

Andhra Pradesh former chief minister Chandrababu Naidu was arrested by APCID alleging a scam made in AP during the TDP rule in between 2014-2019. CID alleged that Naidu is the primary accused in the government funds Rs 371 Cr scam, which is said to be transferred to shell companies.

CID in their remand report wrote, “ indulged in a criminal conspiracy with the intention of fraudulent misappropriation or otherwise conversion of government funds for his own use, disposal of property which was under the control of a public servant, besides engaging in cheating, forging documents and destroying evidence”.

Anti-Corruption Bureau court on Sunday after a few long hours of arguments sent Naidu to 14 days judicial custody. ACB court has asked the Superintendent of the Rajahmundry Central jail to provide necessary facilities for Babu, like home food, special room and medication. The court also ordered to provide Z-plus category security for Chandrababu Naidu by considering his threat to life.

73-year-old Chandrababu Naidu is the longest-serving chief minister of the state. His arrest has created tension in Telugu states . TDP cadre has called for a state-wide bandh after the court sent him for remand. Section 144 has been imposed on the state to maintain law and order.
