Kannada actor Upendra landed in legal trouble. A case was filed against him for his controversial remarks against Dalits on his Facebook live session. Upendra was talking about his political party Prajakeeya when he passed these controversial statements. Chennammana Kere Achukattu police have reportedly filed an FIR on the actor.
Upendra said, If there is a town, it inevitably will have Dalits. Upendra realized his words and deleted the video. Soon after the video went viral, protests arose in Ramanagara. Many were spotted tearing and burning the actor's posters. Upendra has asked for apologies for hurting feelings. He wrote, “ I used a proverb in Facebook and Instagram live broadcast today. As soon as I find it hurting many people’s feelings, I will delete that live video from my social media.. And sort for this word”. But the damage is done, the case is booked on the hero.
