Bribes for jobs hits TCS

Technology major TATA consultancy services (TCS) was reportedly stuck in a bribe in a jobs scandal. According to the Mint, a certain group of officers were purposely hiring employees from a certain group of consultancies over an extended period of time for commission. As a shocker, the company has 3000 employees in the last three years from those consultancies and people who were involved in the scam have earned Rs 100Cr as commissions. The entire tech giant was in shock after the facts came out.

The incident came out when a whistleblower from the company wrote letters to the CEO and COO of TCS stating that global head ES Chakravarthy was accepting commissions from the consultancies. The company has sacked Chakravarthy and four other officials after forming a committee of three members to look into the probe of allegations.

RBM division, Arun GK was also sacked from the office. TCS recruitment head was sent on leave. TCS relies for its staff on referral programs and partnership staffing firms. After conducting tests and interviews, the employees will be hired from the staffing firms. The irregularities are uncertain as TCS take up 50,000 employees every year and allocates them to different parts of their facilities. TCS has over 6,15,795 employees and $27.93 B in revenue. The scam was a shocker and they are looking for the safeguard situations.
