On Wednesday, in New Delhi, NCP and Congress will meet at Sharad Pawar’s residence and have a final discussion about joining hands with Shiv Sena to form Maharashtra Government. Both parties have designated leaders to take the discussion ahead.
Congress requested to postpone this meeting to Wednesday as it was decided to happen on Tuesday. Reason being, all the party leaders were preoccupied with the birth anniversary of Indira Gandhi.
As per sources, the MLA’s of the Congress party want to request the Central leadership an early decision on the three-party alliance. The three-party alliance will be set in place by the last week of November.
On Tuesday, Sonia Gandhi had conducted a meeting with her colleagues to discuss about the formation of Maharashtra Government. The Congress leader quoted “The discussion centered around government formation with the Sena and the power-sharing formula”.
In the meeting, Ajit Pawar, Praful Patel, Sunil Tatkare, Chhagan Bhujbal, and Jayant Patil were from NCP and Ahmed Patel, Mallikarjun Karge and a few others were a part of Congress. After the press Conference, Sharad Pawar made his point that if the NCP and Congress want to form the Maharashtra Government they would have to discuss it.
Congress and NCP have discussed their plan and they would want to bring it to the notice of Sena president Uddhav Thackeray.
After Sena made his decision about not joining hands with the BJP on 12th November. Ajit Pawar and Ahmed Patel(Congress Leader) had a meeting and later when Thackeray met the two of them they decided about forming a new Government with Sena.
At Thackeray’s Matoshree residence all the 56 MLA’s of the SENA party have been called to meet this Friday.
