Bill Gates Positive Outlook On India’s “Very Rapid" Economic Growth

In one of the interviews, complimenting and appreciating India’s performance in financial services, pharma sectors, and the Aadhaar identity system, Bill Gates mentions the scope for “very rapid” growth in the Indian Economy.

He quoted “I don’t have any knowledge about the near term, but I’d say over the next decade, there’s potential for very rapid growth, which will lift people out of poverty and allow the government to invest in health and education priorities in a really exciting way,”

Given the situation where Asia’s third-largest economy is stumbling, it is great encouragement from the world’s richest person.

Further, Bill Gates said “I don't have any knowledge about the near term, but I'd say over the next decade, there's potential for very rapid growth, which will lift people out of poverty and allow the government to invest in health and education priorities in a really exciting way,”

The purpose of Bill Gates's visit to India for three days is to focus on his work foundation in India.

He got back his status of the World’s richest person the first time in the past two years as per the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.

On topics such as digital identity and financial services, he mentioned that partnering with people like Nandan Niketan would be of great help to other countries.

Stating the names of companies such as Bio-E, Bharat Biotech and a few more he said that India is known for all the IT services. He talked about how vaccine manufacturers have done an excellent job.

An official mentioned, the Bill and Melinda Gates have been working on providing better services in fields like Agriculture, Sanitation and Healthcare for the underprivileged children in India and by working with Indian manufacturers they have been able to derive affordable vaccines and this is being introduced in other countries as well.
