A 28-year-old Muslim man, in yet another instance of mob lynching, was reportedly beaten to death by a group of people on the intuition that he was importing cows in Rajasthan's Alwar district on Friday night.

The victim, Akbar Khan, was a resident of the Ferozepur Jhirka region in neighboring Haryana.

Akbar, who was accompanied with another man were walking on foot with two cows through a forest area in Ramgarh's Lalawandi village when the villagers encircled them and started walloping with an accusation that the two were importing cows to their native. The other man accompanying Akbar escaped from the spot.

Police reached the spot on acquiring the information about hostility and took an abundantly bleeding Akbar to a government hospital in Ramgarh. The physicians declared him brought dead. The dead body was shifted to a morgue on Saturday morning in Alwar and the autopsy will take place after the reaching of Akbar's family members from his village, Kolgaon.

Police have registered a case under Section 302 (murder) of Indian Penal Code against unidentified persons. Attempts were being made to identify the wrongdoers and apprehend them, while the police said it was not unsubtle if the two persons were cow smugglers.
