USPS letter carrier carjacked in Houston

A letter carrier had been carjacked on December 19, afternoon and his postal truck was also stolen.

Late on Tuesday night, postal inspectors had detained three people in a northeast Houston neighborhood.

The missing mail truck had been found close to Canton Bluff Lane near Reston Glen Lane.

The truck had been dumped in a retention area at the back of the neighborhood. What was left of the mail had been bagged up and carted off.

U.S. postal inspector, Sylvia Torres said, "Thankfully our letter carrier is safe and was not hurt”.

just after finding the truck, postal inspectors and Precinct 4 deputy constables had converged on a house in the nearby Imperial Ridge subdivision.

Three people has been questioned by the officers but the Postal inspectors did not say much beyond that.

Even though three people are being questioned, the postal service has still been offering a $25,000 reward for any information that can help them with the case.
