PM Narendra Modi launches '70 Saal Azadi, Yaad Karo Kurbani' campaign!

On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of India's Independence, Prime Minister Narendra Modi asked the BJP MPs to highlight the contributions of freedom fighters and martyrs among school children during fortnight-long celebrations of India's Independence Day.
PM Modi also released a theme song '70 Saal Azadi, Yaad Karo Kurbani' in a meeting of Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) parliamentary party meeting for Tiranga Yatra. The Yatra will be organized to mark the 70th anniversary of India's Independence from the British rule.
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Ananth Kumar said after the meeting, that, "Prime Minister has asked the party MPs to highlight the contributions of freedom fighters and martyrs among school children. He said the Yatra will spread the message of harmony and MPs needs to work hard to make it successful."
Mr. Modi launched the 'Azadi-70, Yaad Karo Kurbani' campaign in Bhabhra, birth place of revolutionary leader Chandrashekhar Azad, in Madhya Pradesh's Alirajpur district on the anniversary of the Quit India Movement.
"August 9 is a historic day in India's freedom struggle as it reminds us of the seriousness of the country's hardship and also about the long series of sacrifices made by the revolutionary leaders," BJP's state general secretary Arvind Bhadoria said.
"It is a matter of happiness that the Prime Minister is launching the campaign 'Azadi-70, Yaad Karo Kurbani' from the birth place of Azad, Bhabhra, in Alirajpur district on the occasion," he said.
