Four compartments of Tata Chhapra Express train (18181) were looted by fifteen armed men in the midnight on Sunday in Jamui district of Bihar state. Passengers were in deep sleep while robbers entered the train.

Passengers alleged that the security force personnel (Police/ RPF) was just seen the show and hid themselves when the looters are threatening them. Passengers were handed over cash, jewellery and valuable goods to the robbers.

The Jamui region of Bihar is dangerous one for train passengers, in August 2014 also robbery took place and no improvement is seen in the protection measures and security in the trains.

Earlier also dacoits looted trains passing through Bihar, some passengers were also killed in the incidents. Trains passing through Bihar, Uttar Pradesh face severe problems from the dacoits, anonymous passengers, goods of the passengers and even Railway authorities like Ticket Collectors suffer a lot with the behavior of the people.

Dacoits seriously forced all the passengers of Tata - Chhapra Express train (four compartments) in the midnight with weapons to give all that the passengers are having. Government and Railway department are being questioned by the people over this issue. Robbery is raising doubts in the security provided by the Railway Protection Force and State Police Service for the passengers.
